Garik Kajik Kizirants (2000, Goris, Syunik region – passed away on November 8, 2020, in Gish)

Originally from Moscow, Garik later relocated to Armenia. He actively participated and excelled in various city and republican Olympiads, earning certificates for his achievements. Later was admitted to the Information and Communication Technology and Electronics Institute at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia. Drafted into the army in 2019, he held the position of commander of the 3rd platoon of the 5th battery in the Horatagh military unit. Known for his fairness, intelligence, and well-read nature, Garik was a creative individual who rejected mediocrity. Driven by numerous dreams and a commitment to perfection, he made each day a celebration of life. From October 15, he was stationed in Martuni, actively involved in the hotspots of Chartar and Gish. Garik valiantly fought for 43 days and nights without complaint against the relentless enemy. On the day before the cease-fire, he became a target while issuing orders to his comrades during intense battles. In recognition of his service, Garik was posthumously awarded the “Combat Service” and “For Valor” medals.
