On the occasion of World Bread and Food Day, the Yeremyan Group is pleased to invite you to the History Museum of Armenia for the opening of the exhibition “Portraits of Lavash: Armenian Bread in Photo Stories.”
The exhibition offers a unique look at both the familiar and lesser-known sides of lavash, presenting around 20 artistic interpretations that capture its symbolism, diversity, and beauty. The craftsmanship of the baker and the vision of the photographer intertwine to create a vivid series, each lavash with its own color, form, and story.
The official opening will take place on October 16, at 2:00 p.m., and will feature welcoming remarks, keynote speeches, and a concert program.
As part of the event, Astghik Israelyan, researcher at the Ethnography Department of the History Museum of Armenia, will deliver a lecture entitled “The Role of Salt and Bread in Armenian Culture.” The “Akunq” Ethnographic Ensemble will also perform traditional ritual songs dedicated to bread.
Join us in celebrating the timeless cultural heritage of lavash , a symbol of life, community, and Armenian identity.
Entry is free.
