On 25 January at 15:00, as part of the events dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the archaeologist and participant in the Ani excavations Ashkharbek Kalantar, the opening ceremony of the temporary exhibition “Ashkharbek Kalantar” will be held at the History Museum of Armenia, followed by a lecture entitled “Kalantar, the Revered Figure of Armenian Studies”. The lecture will be given by Karen Bayramyan, who will present the life and activities of Ashkharbek Kalantar, the first inscription researcher, leader of the 13th Ani Expedition. A revered figure in Armenian studies, Kalantar also participated in and contributed to the establishment of the History Museum of Armenia. The exhibition displays his personal photographs and documents, photographs taken by him during excavations and other valuable items.
