On March 4, the History Museum of Armenia hosted a lecture titled “Retracing the steps of Anahit from Satala to London,” delivered by historian and Doctor of Philosophy, Dr. Lucia Patrizio Gunning, Senior Research Fellow at University College London. The event opened with welcoming remarks from H.E. Mr. John Gallagher, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia, and David Poghosyan, Director of the History Museum of Armenia. During the lecture, Dr. Gunning presented the story of how the bronze head and hand of the Goddess Anahit ended up in the British Museum, shedding light on this journey through archival documents and remarkable correspondences.
