On April 7, the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Fragments of Identity: Adornment” took place at the History Museum of Armenia. The exhibition includes jewellery (bracelets, necklaces, belts, headdresses, etc.) of the 18th-20th centuries, as well as working tools of Armenian craftsmen and ethnographic photographs selected from the collection of the History Museum of Armenia. The aim of the exhibition is to reveal and present what kinds of jewellery Armenians wore, what meaning and significance they had, how Armenian jewellery spread in different countries, and most importantly, to draw the attention of modern Armenian masters to the origins of national art.
