The History Museum of Armenia opened to the public a temporary exhibition “Lchashen: Submerged Treasury”, in which a rich selection of objects excavated from the archaeological monument’s territory is presented.
Davit Poghosyan, Director of the Museum, in his opening speech, highlights the importance of the exhibition, noting that it has an important message: continue to preserve, display, and be the owner of the heritage that has reached us from the depths of centuries. Arsen Bobokyan, Director of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography NAS RA, emphasises the importance of collaboration between the two institutes, and the unification of the museum and science around one common goal. Benik Vardanyan, researcher of the Department of Archaeology and Numismatics of the History Museum of Armenia, who takes an active part in the Lchashen excavations, notes that both the conference and the exhibition are part of the popularisation of the Lchashen archaeological monument.
The exhibition will be open in the coming months.
