The History Museum of Armenia opened to the public “The Forgotten Kingdom: Verin Naver” temporary exhibition. The exhibition is organised with the cooperation of the History Museum of Armenia and the “Scientific Research Centre of Historical and Cultural Heritage” SNOC. Davit Poghosyan, Director of the Museum,  gave the opening speech; he highlighted the fact that in recent years the museum has been holding a series of exhibitions dedicated to the results of excavations in various monuments.
The expedition led by Hakob Simonyan, Ph.D., archaeologist, artist, found a lot of evidence of spiritual and secular power found in the excavations of Verin Naver, including objects of luxury in precious metals and stones, symbols of power: weapons, seals, bridles, portrait medallions, and more. About 500 tombs have been preserved in the necropolis of Verin Naver, which existed for about one and a half millennia (23rd-7th century BC), forming one of the most extensive necropolises of the Ancient East.
