Today, at 18:30, a lecture will be held in Government Building No. 2 (former building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs): “The Symbolic Meanings of Armenian Women’s Adornments in the 18th-20th Centuries.”
Ethnographer Astghik Israelyan, senior researcher of the Ethnography Department of the History Museum of Armenia, will make a report and present the ways of using 18th-20th-century Armenian adornments in folk customs, traditions, holidays and rituals.
During the report, A. Israelyan will touch upon the different types of adornments, their ornaments and symbolic meanings of the patterns.
