On October 14 at 16:00, a lecture titled “World Heritage: To the Future on a Wooden Cart” will be delivered at the History Museum of Armenia (with simultaneous translation) by Hans Piena, Endowed Professor at the Vrije Universiteit for the Royal Antiquarian Society (Amsterdam), Curator at the Dutch Open Air Museum (Arnhem), and Spokesperson for the TEFAF Vetting Committee: Furniture and Works of Art up to 1600 (Maastricht).

The speaker will discuss the global significance of the Lchashen wagons, the conservation of the first wagon in 2001, and explore possible conservation approaches for the wagon from Lchashen Burial Mound No. 11. He will also address the ethics of preserving and passing on such unique objects. In addition, several European institutions willing to collaborate with the History Museum of Armenia will be introduced.
