We are pleased to announce that, starting on 3 July, the History Museum of Armenia will host the temporary exhibition “Armenia: An Open Door”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Repatriation.
For the first time, the exhibition will present an extensive selection of private archives of families repatriated to Armenia between 1946 and 1949, complemented by unique materials from the collections of the History Museum of Armenia. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the emotions and atmosphere of those years, experiencing both the optimism and the realities of the period.
This unprecedented exhibition is organized through the collaboration of the History Museum of Armenia and the Factum Documentary Center.
As part of the anniversary program, the exhibition opening will coincide with the three-day international conference “Layers of Repatriation”, bringing together more than 40 researchers from Armenia and abroad, who will present their latest studies and findings.
The exhibition will remain open until 2 September.
Admission to the exhibition is included in the regular entrance ticket to the History Museum of Armenia.
