Vazgen Yuri Galstyan (17.04.2002 – 02.10.2020 Jabrayil)
When Vazgen sustained injuries, he adamantly refused assistance. The paramedic, noting Vazgen’s broken leg, assured him that a vehicle was called to transport him to safety. However, Vazgen insisted, “No, mine is just leg. See how the boys are doing; take care of them,” and declined to leave. The paramedic promised, “Okay, we will come back for you,” but the escalating danger from incoming fire prevented any immediate evacuation.
Vazgen’s early interest in physics, following in the footsteps of his father, a physicist, was evident from a young age. At just five years old, he intrigued his aunt by posing a question about the law of gravity. Mature beyond his years, Vazgen was known for his grace and was dearly loved by all who knew him.
A voracious reader and serious movie buff, Vazgen illustrated his father’s physics book using a computer. His dream was rooted in science, and he aspired to become a scientist. In his memory, a fund was established, dedicating all proceeds to the advancement of scientific endeavors. Vazgen’s profound words, “He is a hero, he is brave who falls 9 times and rises 10 times,” resonate deeply, encapsulating his resilient spirit. A teacher remarked, “He soared to great heights, while we remained at the bottom.”
