Abraham Tigran Marukhyan, Head of the Artillery Intelligence (August 10, 1995, Yerevan – October 3, 2020, Horadiz)

 

In 2011, Abraham graduated from the Tchaikovsky Music School. In 2013, he graduated from Armenak Armenakyan High School No. 10, and in 2017, from the Faculty of Diplomacy of the European University, receiving a bachelor’s degree. After graduating from the Vazgen Sargsyan Military University in 2018, he received the rank of lieutenant, after which he went to the Mataghis military unit of the Republic of Artsakh to serve as the head of artillery intelligence. On September 5, 2020, he was discharged and got engaged, but on September 27, as soon as the war started, he left for Artsakh to defend the motherland. He fought heroically in the Horadiz region, removing weapons and ammunition from unoccupied territories, and destroying important documents and maps. He received the lessons of patriotism from his father, a participant in the First Artsakh War, although he inherited them from his grandfathers. He fell on the night of October 2 to 3 due to a mortar attack. He was awarded the “Combat Cross” medal of the 1st degree, medals “For Courage” and “Maternal Gratitude”, and the RA medal for “Combat Service”.

He dreamed of becoming a general and a diplomat. He said that the Artsakh issue should be settled only through diplomacy.
