Andranik Edvard Khachatryan, senior lieutenant (March 19, 1993, Yerevan – November 7, 2020, Shushi).

He completed his secondary education at School No. 7 in Gyumri, where he was recognized for his outstanding performance in a foreign language and received a certificate. Andranik then pursued his higher education at both the Polytechnic Institute and the Military Institute named after V. Sargsyan. He specialized in the artillery department of the military institute and won an English language competition, which led him to Great Britain. In 2015, he represented the Armenian Ministry of Defense in the anti-terror competition held in Moscow. He won a competition and returned with a medal. In 2016, he served as a platoon commander in the Noyemberyan military unit. In 2018, the senior lieutenant continued his service in Hadrut, Artsakh. Upon hearing news of the 2020 war, Andranik’s brother, Arsen, rushed to Artsakh to be by his side. Andranik had fought fiercely in several battles, including Hadrut, Jabraeel, Karin Tak, and Shushi. During the last siege, on November 7, both brothers were injured in Shushi, but unfortunately, Andranik did not survive. Their goal was to keep the gates of their Motherland unshakable and climb the ranks of command. Andranik had received several awards and medals.
