Artur Seryozhay Balasanyan (January 28, 2001, Yerevan – September 27, 2020, Jrakan).

Attended Isakov Secondary School 132 and later Mushegh Galshoyan High School 148. Following his graduation, he pursued studies in the interior design department at the State Academy of Fine Arts. Arthur, an outstanding painter with a flexible creative mind, also engaged in sports, particularly Taekwondo, from a young age. In July 2019, he was conscripted into the army and served in Jrakan (Jabrayil). Despite opportunities to remain in the headquarters, he expressed his commitment to serving alongside his fellow soldiers, stating, “Dad, I will not sit in the headquarters. I came to serve with the boys. I didn’t come to hide in headquarters. No, I have to deal with weapons.” The grenade launcher was his weapon, and within a few hours of intense combat, Arthur managed to dismantle one tank and eliminate 20 infantry. Arthur’s valor was immortalized on the battlefield, on the very first day of the war, September 27, leaving his love and numerous dreams unfulfilled. He rests in eternal peace at Yerablur. Arthur aspired to become an interior design specialist, harboring dreams of establishing his own business.
