Aziz Samvel Aghajanyan, artilleryman (May 20, 2001, Armavir city – October 19, 2020, Ishkhanasar)
In 2007-2016, he studied at the 2nd secondary school named after V. Bakhshyan, and in 2016-2019, at the 1st high school named after R. Yeghoyan. He was very fond of mathematics and English subjects. He participated in mathematics Olympiads and scouting. Demonstrating exceptional abilities, collecting very high scores, in 2019 Aziz was accepted to the American University of Armenia, computer programming department, without an interview. He was drafted into the army in the summer of 2019. He served in Lusakert for 6 months and then went to Meghri with the rank of junior sergeant to continue his service. He was an artilleryman and commander of the D-1 calculation. After the ill-fated war that started on September 27, 2020, he was in Meghri positions on October 3, from where he was transferred to Jrakan. He fought for 21 days and saved many lives. He stayed with his friends under heavy aerial bombardment. He performed his tasks with honor, but a splinter from the last shot hit him. He died on the night of October 18-19. He was awarded the “Monte Melkonyan” medal, the “Combat Cross” medal of the RA “First Corps” NGO, and the “Combat Service” medal.
Aziz’s unfulfilled dream was to graduate from the American University in Armenia and become a famous programmer. He wanted his father to be proud of his son one day.
