On February 1, the History Museum of Armenia in collaboration with the National Museum of the Czech Republic will open a temporary exhibition “Czech Castles and Chateaux”, which is supported by the RA MoESCS and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Republic of Armenia.

The exhibition presents photographs of the most interesting castles and chateaux of Bohemia and Moravia, two of the historic areas that make up the Czech Republic. The criterion for the selection of the localities included in the exhibition has been their historical significance as well as their architectural and artistic value. A prominent position is occupied not only by sites already on UNESCO’s list (Prague, Český Krumlov, Telč) but also by a number of other potential candidates.

The exhibition will be open to the public for 2 months, from February 1 to March 31.
