Derenik Khachatur Khachatryan, mechanic-driver (1996: Aragatsotn region, Artashavan city – September 27, 2020)
He participated in the April 2016 four-day war, and decided to continue his service. He worked as a tank mechanic-driver in Martakert and later joined the peacekeeping troops. He then went to serve in Russia, Germany, and Afghanistan before returning to Armenia in September 2020. A week after his return, he left for the front and fell during the hot battles on September 27. On his military bag, Derenik had written his nickname Kyaj instead of his name. He loved life and loved living it. But his love for his homeland and the peaceful future of future generations was greater than life itself. Derenik was dedicated to serving future generations. The golden-haired boy left but left behind a trail of gold as a symbol of eternity.
