Erik Artak Abrahamyan (March 1, 2001, Lori region, Arevaatsag – October 14, 2020, Martuni).
Four of Eric’s classmates were drafted into the army. Eric and Sheg/ Sukiasyan Artak used to sit on the same bench. Both of them liked to drive cars and help their parents with agricultural work. Eric was sent to Fizuli to serve in a tank battalion. On the day of the draft lottery, Artak Sukiasyan learned that he would serve in a tank military unit. He had chosen the profession of mechanic. When their parents asked about their well-being, the only answer they received was, “Everything is fine.” At sunrise, two black ribbons were seen side by side, one for Eric and the other for Artak. Now they lie together, each with their tricolor flag flying above them.
