On October 14, a lecture titled “World Heritage: To the Future on a Wooden Cart” was delivered at the History Museum of Armenia by Hans Piena, Endowed Professor at the Vrije Universiteit for the Royal Antiquarian Society (Amsterdam), Curator at the Dutch Open Air Museum (Arnhem), and Spokesperson for the TEFAF Vetting Committee (Maastricht).
In his speech, the speaker discussed the conservation of the Lchashen wagon, detailing the first conservation effort carried out in 1957 as well as the one conducted by the group he led in 2001. He also discussed modern methods and approaches for preserving unique objects, particularly wooden ones.
At the end of the lecture, a question-and-answer session took place.
