Starting from July 1, the History Museum of Armenia will present an exhibition entitled
“Fragments of identity: Costume”,
where you can see costume sets selected from the collection of the History Museum of Armenia, separate parts of costumes, accessories, and archival photographs, some of them displayed for the first time.
This collection provides an opportunity to have a comprehensive idea about the colourful and amazing tradition of Armenian clothing. They reveal not only a close connection of the costume with the past and the collective memory but also flexible cultural relations of the Armenian nation and local craftsmen’s developed aesthetic taste.
We look forward to seeing you in Government Building No. 2, starting from July 1.
