Gevorg Ignatios Hachyan

Gevorg Ignatios Hachyan (1971, Lebanon – October 6, 2020, Mataghis).

He was born in Musaler. He graduated Aynchar primary school “Yaraj”, then – Theological Seminary “Zarehavan” of Cilikia’s Great House (Metsn Tan Kilikio). He was a conductor in the Children’s Choir of the National College and the “Narekatsi” Choir of the National Directorate in Kuwait. He has performed solo concerts in more than 27 countries, as well as released 5 DVDs – “Komitasean Yerakhayriq”, “ZQez Orhnenq”, “Armenia in songs” “Armenia in melodies of Komitas”, “Independence Bells”. He performed concerts in Artsakh also, in order to support Armenian soldiers fighting in Artsakh.  He awarded numerous certificated of appreciation and diplomas. He has participated in 44-day Artsakh war, and died as a brave soldier during the liberation of a strategically important height with Mher Harutyunyan, the commander of the 2nd platoon of ARF volunteers, and Kristapor Artin, a freedom fighter of the same platoon, on October 6, near the highlands of Varangatagh mountain.
