Harutyun Sargis Chobanyan, captain, head of the medical service of the Hadrut military unit (February 18, 1993, Tavush region, Aygehovit city – October 13, 2020, Hadrut)
Harutyun graduated with honors from Secondary School No. 12 in Hrazdan and gained admission to Heratsi Medical University, specializing in the medical department. Subsequently, he obtained the qualification of a doctor in the “medical department in the armed forces” from the military medical faculty. Known for his love of literature, he enjoyed reading and sharing books. Additionally, he had a passion for working with the soil, often expressing the sentiment that as long as one’s hands and feet were functional, the absence of wealth was inconsequential.
In 2020, on October 1, Harutyun took a front-line role as the head of the medical service in the Hadrut military unit. His dedication and expertise played a pivotal role in saving the lives of numerous wounded individuals. On October 13, while providing medical assistance to two injured individuals in a military ambulance, he lost his life due to an enemy bullet. Harutyun harbored dreams of having a large family with many children, but regrettably, this aspiration remained unfulfilled.
