Hovsep Garegin Khachatryan (February 16, 2001, vil. Meghradzor, Kotayk region – October 14, 2023, Varanda).
He studied in Meghradzor secondary school, then continued his education in Hrazdan crafts state college. In July 2019 Hovsep went to serve in army, in Martuni region of Artsakh Republic. During his service he won the love and respect of his friends, and the officers also trust and respect him due his skills. Hovsep’s last call was in the 15-th day of war. On October 18 the Defence Army announced a material, where was mentioned, that some soldiers, including Hovsep Khachatryan have demonstrated a high level of professional skill, high moral qualities, and in result they awarded medal of “Bravery”. After four long and brutal months of suffering, after numerous efforts, on February 1, Hovsep’s relatives accompanied by Russian peacekeepers and four Azerbaijani security officials came to the place, where Hovsep and his wounded mortal friends were surrounded. The medical expertition confirmed the identity of Hovsep and the boys who were in Varanda with him.
