Jora Karen Gevorgyan (May 1, 2001, vil. Meghradzor, Kotayk region – September 27, 2020, Mardakert).
In 2007 he attended secondary school in Pyunik village, and then went to Meghradzor secondary school. In 2013 – 2017 he was a member of “Young Yerkrapah” club of “Yerkrapah” Voluntary Union of RA. In 2014 – 2017 he attended duduk group of Meghradzor cultural center. He liked to play on duduk very much, especcialy – when he was sad. On August 1, 2017 he received a certificate, announcing, that he is a junior sergeant of the “Young Yerkrapah” club of “Yerkrapah” Voluntary Union of RA. In 2019 he graduated the school and began his military service in Artsakh military unit, named “Yeghnikner”, then he changed his military unit and served in 5-th battalion of Mardakert “Internat” military unit. In Mardakert he served as a medical driver. Jora died heroically from the drone attack on September 27, when transporting wounded Armenian soldiers. He was burried in Meghradzor memorial garden. Usually Jora didn’t like to speak about his goals and dreams, he only said, that he wanted to have a family after service finishing and the wedding ceremony had to be conducted in Kecharis monastery in Tsakhkadzor.
