Karapet Hovhannes Antonyan (July 9, 2000, Yerevan October – 13, 2020, Jrakan).
He went to school # 53 after Aghasi Khandjyan. Beginning from 2015 he continued his study in Politechnical college, and in 2018 entered high school. In 2019 he enrolled in Yerevan State Engineering University, and studied in faculty of programming. The same year he enlisted army. Due to health issues, Karapet could avoid the military service, but on Janyuary 17 he enlisted, and moved to serve in Jrakan. Before the beginning of the war in September 27, Karahet had pains in his leg, but he climbed on positions.
During the war days he was an anti-tank brigade senior sergeant and until October 5 he has destroyed 6 enemy’s tanks and interrupted the enemy’s progress. For his bravery he received a rank of officer and while living awarded first degree “Mortal cross” medal. Karapet died on October 13, was buried in Yerablur.
On his 22-year anniversary – on July 9 2022, he was awarded first degree “For serving the Homeland” medal. His unfulfilled dream was to finish education, to have a good job and to build the house of dreams.
