Masis Arthur Harutiunyan. Senior lietennant, commander of battalion (December 22, 1995, vil. Bahgramyan, Armavir region – October 23, 2020, Verin Delagharda).
After graduating the school “ARAYI”, in 2014 he enrolled in military academy after V. Sargsyan. He was lively, full of life, purposeful, intelligent, patriotic from childhood. On August 13, 2018 he moved to Artsakh Republic, as a commander of ՊԲ36594 of Martuni region. He enjoyed the love and respect of the soldiers besides being a commander, he was their older friend, older brother. Since January 10, 2020 he was the commander of 2nd gunfire battalion of the military unit # 36534 of Defence Army. He had good professional readiness, he was able to make smart decisions, to keep the state and military secrets. He was demanding towards his subordinates. When the war began, Masis was at home, hearing the signal, he moved to positions. During the 27 days of war he didn’t yield a position and didn’t have a victim, only two wounded soldiers. He died on October 23, 2020 in the location Verin Delagharda, saving lifes of more that 30 soldiers. For his conscientific service senior lietennant M. Harutiunyan has been repeatedly encouraged by the commanders, awarded state and preference medals.
