Mkhitar Koryun Grigoryan (February 2, 2002, Echmiadzin city – October 11, 2020, Hadrut district, Khurat mountain, Vank village).

Alongside his regular education, he attended a gymnastics school and excelled in mixed martial arts, earning recognition as a cup winner. Known for his friendly and courageous nature, Mkhitar possessed a mature mindset from an early age. His dream was to become a world champion in the sport of kickboxing. In 2016, he moved to Russia with his family, but in 2018, they returned to the Republic of Armenia. In 2020, Mkhitar was drafted into the army and served in Jrakan. He actively participated in the battles for the defense of Hadrut during the 44-day war. On October 11, he was immortalized in the Khurat mountain of Vank village, once again demonstrating his unwavering commitment to assisting his comrades in arms.

A fellow combatant fondly remembers him as a true warrior who selflessly saved many lives, leaving behind a legacy of heroism. In recognition of his service, Mkhitar was posthumously awarded the “Combat Cross” 2nd degree and the “Combat Service” medal. His memory is honored through the naming of a classroom after him in School No. 12 named after Andranik in Etchmiadzin, and a Khachkar was raised in the yard of the 2nd building.
