Samvel Davit Antonyan, deputy commander, position senior (July 22, 2000, Yerevan – October 9, 2020, Hadrut)

He served in the 3rd platoon of the 12th company in the 4th battalion of Hadrut military unit No. 1. He was the deputy commander and the senior of the 137th position. On the first day of the war, the company commander was wounded, and Samvel took over as the company and platoon commander. Two companies were formed, one under the platoon commander and the other under Samvel’s leadership. He was awarded the “Brave Warrior” and Combat Duty medals. He was named the best captain seven times and was promoted to Senior Sergeant. During an enemy attack, he helped his comrades in arms take shelter in a pit, but tragically, he did not survive. Samvel was known for his purposeful, intelligent, and flexible mind. Despite not doing well in school, his teachers liked him very much. He was a person who was interested in everything from business to country management. Even though he didn’t like math, he was able to make the right calculations while saving his friends in battle. Samvel, who didn’t pay attention during history lessons, became a history maker and a textbook hero. He was heroically killed by a Su fighter jet on October 9th, 2020 in Hadrut. His legacy will live on through the chapel he built, which will liberate again.
