Samvel Vardan Gevorgyan (April 27, 1999, vil. Ginevet, Ararat region – October 7, 2020, “Yeghnikner”).
In 2005 he attended the secondary school in Nor-Ughi, from the 5-th class he moved to Russian Federation, where he finished his study. Parallel to school study he attended chess trainings, won some competitions and received prizes. Especially he reached good results in chess living in Russia. In 2019 he returned Armenia and on September of the same year moved to serve in army. He served in village Mataghis of Mardakert region. He received numerous certificates of appreciation and diplomas. Serving in army was honorable for Samvel. He had good skills in managing of РПК weapon. On Seotember 27, 2020, when the war began, he struggled hardly in severe battles for several times, has been in surrounding, came out from it. On war days he helped a lot of his wounded friends, has saved numerous lifes, captured enemy’s tank. He died on October 7, in Yeghnikner militaty unit from drone attack, when he was protecting the captured position. He desired to enter the Physical training university after army, the chess department, also he desired to have his own business.
