Samvel Serob Petrosyan (July 28, 2000, Kotayk region, Jrvezh village – October 19, 2020, Jrakan, Ishkhanadzor)
Graduating from Jrvezh secondary school, he was described as a brave, serious, friendly, and active young man. When the war started, Samvel voluntarily left for Artsakh from the Ijevan military unit, standing alongside his fellow soldiers. He fought in Jabrayil and participated in the battles of Ishkhanadzor, showcasing his commitment to defending his homeland. Tragically, Samvel lost his life on October 19, succumbing to a gunshot wound. His last words, urging his comrades to run and save themselves, exemplify his selflessness and courage in the face of danger. Samvel’s love for life in all its colors is a poignant reminder of his vibrant spirit. The monument erected in front of his house stands as a lasting tribute, ensuring that his memory will be remembered for a long time.
