On May 12, at 16:30, a lecture on the topic “The Origin of the Pazyryk Type Carpet” will be held at the History Museum of Armenia, which will be conducted by Ashkhunj Poghosyan, carpet expert, Ph.D., associate professor.
The “Pazyryk” carpet, which was found in 1949 from the “Pazyryk” burial ground in the Altai Mountains, is of exceptional importance from the point of view of studying the early period of carpet-making culture and revealing the regions of its origin. During the speech, the origin of the carpet will be discussed; the technical- technological features, the ornamentation system, the variety of colours and other interesting details will be presented.
