Vardan Davit Amalyan (January 18, 2001, Yerevan – November 7, 2020, Shushi)
In 2006 he attended the Yerevan primary school no. 199 named after H. Khachatryan. He was enrolled in the Piano Department of the Avet Terteryan Art School. He attended karate school. In 2015 he was enrolled in the Directing Department of the Yerevan Regional State College no. 1. In 2019 he was enrolled in the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, Boxing Department. In 2019 he was drafted into the army. During the war in 2020 he fought for 20 days in the defense of Hadrut, then in the village of Karintak, and then in Shushi. He took part in the operation to encircle and disarm the enemy special forces.
He was killed by a sniper’s bullet on November 7. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Courage and the Medal of Combat Service.
His dream was to play professional football.
