Vardan Albert Konjoryan ( July 10, 2001, Charentsavan city, Kotayk region – October 12, 2020, Fizuli )
From 2007 to 2016, he studied at Charentsavan Secondary School No. 2. From 2014 to 2017, he was a member of the Charentsavan “Nemesis” group of the ARF Youth Union. From 2014 to 2015, he participated in the All-Armenian Youth Camps. In 2016, he entered the Department of Computing Machinery and Automated Systems Software of Charentsavan State College.
In 2020, he was drafted into the army. He served in the Hoktemberyan tank battalion, then in Varanda. He died on October 12 on a hill called Iliandyagh. He is buried in the military pantheon of Charentsavan.
In 2021, by the order of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, he was posthumously awarded the Medal of Courage, then the Order of the Battle Cross, 2nd degree. In the same year, the military science class of Charentsavan School No. 2 was named after him; and Vardan Park was established next to the school.
The unfulfilled dream was to continue his studies in a higher educational institution.
