Vardan Armen Petrosyan. KORD –machine-gunner (September 26, 2000, Yerevan – October 18, 2020, Talish).
When he was 7 years old, he attended the football group of “Banants” club, he trained there 1 year. Then he was engaged in painting and Eastern sports lessons. He studied 3 years in secondary school # 176, then continued the study in high school #131 after Peyo Yavorov. During basketball interchool games, he was announced as the best player. In future he was invited to the Arabkir basketball team, earned certificates of honour, certificates of appreciation, medals. He desired to continue basketball in future, he may become one of our champions…. After graduating the secondary school, he entered the high school # 118. In January 2019 he was enlisted the Military forces of RA. At first he served in Mataghis village, then moved to Talis, as a machine-gunner. Since the first day of the war he demonstrated his bravery. He has destroyed enemy’s groups of infantry and captured a tank. On October 18 without enough weapons they began to retreat. On the way of retreat all the detachment was killed by enemy’s drone attack, among them – Vardan Petrosyan. He was burried in Yerablur. He awarded the medal “For Martial service” postmortal.
