Vazgen Karen Isoyan – grenade launcher (November 28, 2000 Yerevan – November 9, 2020 March)
After finishing school, he enrolled in the National Agrarian University of Armenia in January 2019. However, in the second semester, he was drafted to Mataghis. During the war, he was assigned to Hadrut and was given the difficult task of furnishing engineering structures while under intense enemy fire. He was also part of a unit that repelled and destroyed subversive reconnaissance groups.
Despite being wounded, he continued to fight and participated in the evacuation of his dead and injured comrades in Martuni. Sadly, his dream of starting a family and being a war veteran remained incomplete as he fought bravely for 44 days before becoming a hero. He was posthumously awarded the “Combat Service” and “For Valor” medals.
