Davit Rafayel Nazaryan. Vice-colonel (July 9, 1985, Yerevan – October 18, 2020, Hadrut).
He studied in Lejan secondary school, them – in military academy after V. Sarsyan and graduated it with excellency. He served in army forces 18 years, received the rank of senior lietennant. Parallel to the service, he studied in the department of Finance and Loan, Customs of the University of Economics, graduated it with excellency and received Master’s qualification. He served in Lichq, Syunik, Qelbajar, Yeghegnadzor, Jabrayil. He used to say for himself: “I must be on the top of mountains, I’m a pilot without aircraft”. He had a large contribution to the army structuring, in building of new military positions. He has constructed new positions, such as Monte, Narek, Hambardzum, the 300-th position in Jrakan and others. His slogan was: “The officer and soldier must to complete each other, each of them conduct his part of responsibility in serving to his nation”. He was the commander of the 3-rd battalion in Jabrayil, he took some positions there, he had good skills in military strategy, due to which he managed to go forward with less losses. He died on October 18, 2020 near the location Sarumej, in very hard battle, from the enemy attack… Davit was a legend. We awarded the medals “For bravery” and 1-st degree “Martial cross” postmortem. He refused the martial cross, saying that for him the cross is everyone soldier who supports him. Davit used to say: “I like solvency, there’s no false, nobody lies there, no betrayal”.
