Yeprem Davit Harutyunyan, tanker, senior mechanic, (June 4, 2001, Solak village, Kotayk region – October 21, 2020, Srkhavend).

He received his education at Solak Secondary School from 2007 to 2016. In addition to his academic pursuits, he engaged in group karate classes and garnered love and respect from his peers at school. In 2016, Yefrem enrolled in the Hrazdan State Vocational School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. In 2019, Yeprem participated in driving courses, excelling and obtaining a driving license. Drafted into the army in July of the same year, he spent the initial 6 months of his service in the Khoktemberyan military unit in the Armavir region, where he assumed the role of a tank mechanic-driver. Subsequently, in 2020, Ephraim was transferred to the military unit in Srkhavend village, Martakert region, Republic of Artsakh. During the Tavush War, he served in the position of Talish, attaining the rank of corporal and being appointed senior mechanic. Since September 27, 2020, Ephraim actively participated on the front lines, carrying out challenging tasks and receiving numerous commendations. On October 19, 2020, he exhibited exceptional courage when his friend’s tank sustained damage. He ingeniously tethered it to his tank and towed it away from the battlefield to prevent it from being stranded. Unfortunately, on the same day, he sustained a severe injury and was promptly transported to Stepanakert Hospital. Following surgery, he was transferred to RA Astghik Medical Center. Ephraim’s valor and dedication were evident as he remained actively engaged in intense combat. Yeprem was immortalized on October 21. His heartfelt wish upon returning was to marry, start a family with many children, and ensure his mother’s well-being, a dream left unfulfilled…
