On November 7-8, the History Museum of Armenia hosted an international conference “The Soldier, the Priest and the Merchant: Archaeological Manifestations of Hierarchy in Complex Societies.” The conference was organised jointly with the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography NAS RA. The participants of the conference presented various reports within the framework of the research of various manifestations of privilege in ancient societies, and a discussion was held with the participation of archaeologists, anthropologists, historians, specialists in comparative mythology and linguistics, and representatives of other related sciences.
