The hilt is covered with carved images. On one side, the Armenian King Levon IV of Cilicia is depicted, sitting cross-legged on the throne, his left hand on his lap, his right hand raised. The inscription: Levon tag Datastan. Below the king are two other figures. The blade is inlaid directly at the hilt. There is little hooking in the edge. It has one centripetal groove on both sides.
