Sword with Scabbard

The blade of the sword, or rather the steel base, is German, manufactured in the city of SOLINGEN. Along with this, the artistic design and technical characteristics of the sword’s hilt and scabbard are typical Caucasian (oriental, Armenian). Both sides of the blade are decorated with plant motifs: right next to the crossguard, among the plant motifs, there is the bird letter Ա (A), above which a crown is depicted. A laurel wreath is attached to the pommel, probably later, with a hammer and sickle in the centre. It belonged to A. Sanoyan.
